About the Movement

Why we started

Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, with impacts ranging from extreme weather events to food insecurity.

Schools also contribute high carbon emission due to ordinary cooking methods using firewood. The trees cut would have contributed a lot to carbon capture. Schools, as centers of learning and community influence, play a critical role in shaping attitudes and behaviors toward environmental sustainability. Engaging students, teachers, and communities in climate action ensures long-term resilience and fosters a generation of environmentally conscious citizens.

Schools are hubs for knowledge transfer and innovation. Young people are among the most affected by climate change but also the most capable of driving change. Integrating climate action into education builds awareness, practical skills, and community resilience. Our work aligns with global frameworks such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 4 (Quality Education).
